Why We Choose Homewood Suites Every Trip

After 20+ years of family trips to Orlando, this is the hotel we keep coming back to. The suites give everyone enough space to spread out, the full kitchen means we save hundreds on food, and the free hot breakfast means nobody starts the day hungry. The pool waterslide is a highlight for the kids — ours would spend all day there if we let them.

The location in Flamingo Crossings puts you just off Western Way, which means you skip the heavy I-4 traffic most visitors deal with. It is 13 minutes to Magic Kingdom, 10 minutes to Animal Kingdom, and 15 minutes to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

What the Suites Are Like

Every suite has a separate living area with a sofa bed, a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and cooktop, and a private bedroom. The one-bedroom suites sleep up to six, which works for most families. Two-bedroom suites are available for larger groups or multi-generational trips.

The kitchen is the real game-changer. We stock up on groceries at the Publix across the street and make breakfast, pack lunches for the parks, and cook dinner on the nights we are too tired to go out. It saves us at least $100 a day compared to eating every meal at restaurants or in the parks.

Pool and Family Amenities

The pool area has a waterslide that is just thrilling enough for kids ages 5-12 without being scary for the little ones. There is also a separate quieter pool if you just want to relax. The outdoor BBQ grills are available for guest use, and the sport court gets energy out after a long day of walking.

The free hot breakfast includes eggs, meat, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, and a waffle station. It is a real breakfast, not just coffee and a muffin, which matters when you are about to walk 15,000 steps in a theme park.
